Hello all, I am new to this site after searching around for people with similar interest on loving road trips.

Short of it is, I am relocating back to California this June (next few days). This means one way.

*If someone is looking ride or experience the classic American road trip this is your chance
*Again, this is one way
*My plan of route is flexible
*Departure is within a few days of this posting.
*I have a med size dog traveling with me
*I have a truck that seats up to 5 (including driver) although I would like to make this a comfortable trip I rather now cram that many people in the truck (max two additional people) there is an exemption to this and I will disclose this later
* I am towing a car (this is the exemption to the rule above)
*tow car car could be driven and this may be the exciting part to those with a road trip spirit and a love for the American road (hint: Route 66 with the top down)
*Me: 30's Family man. Job has me moving first and family will follow once house is sold. Company could only transport one car and would not ship my tow car because its over 40 years old
*Timeline, I have week or more, I am in no rush.
*This may be a good road trip for college students for the summer but again its one way to the sunny beaches of California.

I copied and pasted this from my Craigslist ad as I am about to leave for lunch and rather go though the whole "Spiel". But seeing that I trust this site I can tell you the car I am towing is a 1967 Cherry red convertible mustang (3 speed) and while it was going to be transpoerted with my household goods, the transportation company just recently informed me they cannot move the mustang.

While I would have loved to taken the mustang myself with my dog I have two other cars to move. So the truck will tow the mustang ans my wife's car will be moved by the moving company. The good part is I am new to towing and driving though the hills I rather have someone or two other people drive the mustang. Plus I rather someone enjoy the open air cross country of the car as it supposed to happen.

The car may never make another trip like this, well maybe when I hand over the car to my daughter when she goes off to college.

I hope to find some trusting people that may enjoy this. I do have to note I am looking to have a family member fly out from California but that is a long shot.

regards,
